Standard 8-inch sheaths are too short for the MO Series Chef Knife. The CS06 provides that critical extra half-inch of coverage, ensuring the tip of your blade is fully protected. The internal magnetic system holds the blade firmly in place without the need for straps or clips.

Premium Protection

The sheath features a "spliced" construction for maximum durability, resisting changes in humidity that can crack lesser woods. A stainless steel cap at the base adds durability and protects the sheath from the knife tip.

This saya is turned from American walnut and sized for an 8.5" chef knife. The blade slides into the wooden channel so the edge stays covered and protected in a drawer, knife block or travel roll. Does this sheath have a magnet to hold the blade?

This is a traditional wooden saya. The blade is held by the snug fit of the walnut channel rather than a magnet, so the knife stays covered while seated. Always store the knife sheath-down so the blade does not slide out.

What knife does it fit?

It is sized for an 8.5" (210mm) chef knife. Check your blade length against that before ordering, as a saya is cut to a specific blade size.

Will it fit a santoku, nakiri or other knife?

No. It is shaped for a chef knife blade. A santoku, nakiri or paring knife has a different profile and length and will not seat correctly.

What is it made from?

A solid American walnut (black walnut) body. The blade slides into a wooden channel.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

No. Wood should never go in a dishwasher. Wipe it with a barely damp cloth, dry it fully, and oil it occasionally with food-safe mineral oil.

Does the knife come with it?

No. This is the sheath only. It is sold as an accessory to protect a chef knife you already own.
