Utility Knives
The utility knife fills the gap between paring knife and chef knife, handling mid-sized tasks that feel awkward with either extreme.
At 5 to 6 inches, the utility knife slices sandwiches, cuts citrus, portions chicken breasts, and handles everyday prep that does not warrant a full chef knife. Xinzuo utility knives are forged in Yangjiang with the same Damascus steel as our larger kitchen knives, giving you precision and edge retention in a nimble format. Many home cooks find the utility knife becomes their most-used blade once they discover how well it handles breakfast prep, lunch assembly, and quick dinner tasks. It is the workhorse you did not know you needed.

Choosing Utility Knives
The utility knife sits between a chef knife and a paring knife, typically 5 to 6 inches long, making it the ideal in-between blade. It handles jobs too precise for a full-size chef knife but too large for a paring knife: slicing tomatoes, portioning sandwich fillings, trimming meat, and cutting citrus. Many home cooks reach for their utility knife more than any other blade.
Our utility knives feature the same high-carbon steel cores and 67-layer Damascus cladding as the rest of the range, with HRC ratings of 60 to 62 for long-lasting sharpness. The narrower blade profile makes them lighter and more agile in the hand, ideal for extended prep sessions.
