The blade is a three-layer composite: a 10Cr15CoMoV cutting core clad in SuS410 stainless with a Damascus-patterned outer surface. Vacuum heat treatment brings the core to 60±2 HRC, hard enough to hold a keen 15°-per-side edge through a full prep session yet practical to bring back on a stone. The retro frosted black finish (stonewashed and sandblasted, with a hamon-style line) hides patina and adds grip on the flat.
