Ready to Give

Reach for this set when you want the whole Lan Series story in one box. Five knives. One shared material, nothing wasted. Whether you're setting up a new kitchen or replacing a battered block you've outgrown, this is the set that covers everything from breaking down a whole chicken to peeling an apple at the bench.

What's in the Set

8.5" Chef Knife: Your daily go-to. Rock-chop a pile of onions for a ragu, butterfly a chicken thigh, or work through a dense butternut without the blade tipping forward.
8.5" Bread Knife: Stop crushing your loaves. The serrated edge glides through a crusty sourdough or soft brioche with zero compression, and handles tomatoes and cakes just as cleanly.
7" Santoku: The push-cut specialist. Flat profile shines when you're slicing zucchini into even coins, shaving radish paper-thin, or working through a pile of mushrooms.
5" Utility Knife: The in-between blade. Trim silverskin off a pork fillet, halve a peach, or slice a small roma without reaching for the chef knife.
3.5" Paring Knife: The in-hand blade. Segment citrus, hull strawberries, peel a mango close to the stone -- jobs where a long blade just gets in the way.

One Material Story, Five Blades

Every knife in the set shares the same 73-layer Damascus construction with a 14Cr14MoVNb powder steel core, vacuum heat-treated to 62±2 HRC. That hardness is what separates powder steel from conventional stainless: the edge takes a more acute angle and holds it through long prep sessions, so you're not reaching for a honing rod halfway through a Sunday cook. The flowing Damascus pattern is different on every blade. The polished olive wood handles are each unique too -- natural grain, comfortable in a pinch grip or a full wrap.

Five Knives, One Kitchen

One series, one steel, one look across the whole block. Every blade in this set is 73-layer Damascus folded over a 14Cr14MoVNb powder-steel core, vacuum heat-treated and deep-frozen to 62±2 HRC, then ground to a 15° edge per side. Olive wood handles run full tang with copper flower-design rivets, so the chef knife and the paring knife feel like they came from the same hand. This is the Lan range as a single buy.

WHY THE SET

Matched Beats Mismatched

Buying five knives one at a time leaves you with a drawer of different steels, edges and handles. This set is one specification end to end — the same 73-layer Damascus, the same 62±2 HRC powder core, the same 15° edge and olive wood handle on every piece. They sharpen the same way, balance the same way and sit together in one gift box. A coherent kitchen, sorted in a single purchase.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX

Five Jobs, Five Blades

Five Lan Series knives, each mapped to a job. The 8.5" (212mm) chef knife is the workhorse for slicing, dicing and rocking through prep. The santoku handles flat-board push cuts on vegetables and fish. The serrated bread knife saws through crusty loaves and soft tomatoes without crushing. The utility knife covers the in-between tasks too big for paring and too small for the chef. The paring knife takes peeling, trimming and fine detail in hand. All five share the 73-layer Damascus blade, 14Cr14MoVNb powder core, full-tang olive wood handle and copper flower-design rivets.

WHO IT'S FOR

A Kitchen, or a Gift

Built for a new kitchen that needs everything at once, or as a gift that lands properly — five matched Damascus knives presented in a fitted gift box, ready to hand over with no extra wrapping. The shared spec means a keen cook gets a full working set, and a recipient gets a block that looks and performs as one piece. Total shipping weight is around 1.6kg, boxed.
