The Yu series blade is forged from 67 layers of Damascus steel around a 10Cr15CoMoV core, finished in a raindrop pattern and set into a contoured rosewood handle. It is the knife you reach for when the chef's knife is overkill and the parer is too small.

Yes. The blade is 67 layers of genuine Damascus steel cold-folded around a 10Cr15CoMoV core, finished in a raindrop pattern. The layers are forged, not etched on.
At 125mm it sits between them. It is longer than a paring knife so it can slice sandwiches, tomatoes and small roasts, but shorter and more agile than a chef's knife, so it handles trimming and in-hand work the bigger blade can't.
The core is hardened to 60±2 HRC via vacuum heat treatment and a deep-freeze cycle, and the edge is ground to 15° per side, keen enough for clean slicing and hard enough to hold that edge through daily use.
Solid rosewood, contoured to the palm, with the blade running full tang through the handle for balance and rigidity.
No. The Damascus blade and rosewood handle are hand wash only. Wash, then dry straight away to protect the edge and the timber.
It is forged in Yangjiang, Guangdong, China's traditional knife-making region, and carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
