Yes. It's a flexible fillet blade — slightly bendable so it follows the contours of fish and rides the rib cage. It bends to follow the bone but is not designed to be bent strongly.

Is this a Damascus knife?

No. It's solid German 1.4116 monosteel with no cladding or Damascus layers. The strength here is corrosion resistance and a clean, easy-to-maintain edge, not a decorative pattern.

What steel is it and will it rust near saltwater?
